Travelling memories

Pictures are on their own an attachment of the past, and so for some, capturing something unique can help commemorate that memory, either a milestone in life or just memories with loved ones. They also tell a personal story, a timeline of someone’s life, and the importance of remembering a place and the people in it. Whether sharing travelling moments or life journeys, photography can inspire and help others become more appreciative of their surroundings and the little things in life. Emotions can also be evoked and spoken through different pictures; thus, a picture can have endless emotions that can be felt by many individuals, hence showing the true power that a single picture can portray. Moreover, photography is also an opportunity for one’s identity and self-expression; therefore, if one feels more comfortable expressing their ideas through images, one can easily do so through creative and meaningful pictures.

Regardless of a person’s age, ethnicity, or lifestyle, photography is for everyone. Photography has been present since the 1830s; therefore, it is interesting to note how this phenomenon evolved throughout the years. Nowadays, with just a click away, everyone is able to capture a moment in life that will be their forever. People can look back at those images and relive those happy, sad and exciting emotions and memories with their loved ones, opening the door to history. The impulse reaction that we feel when capturing our memories through images is quite extraordinary. As we continue to cultivate and capture our precious moments through images, this proves the power that photography can bring to our lives.
